Why see a dietitian?
Do you want to lose weight? Gain healthy weight and muscle? Boost your performance during your race? Increase your energy? Improve your overall health? That's where I come in. Nutrition is more complex than calories in versus calories out, and sometimes it even goes beyond food. Often times, I see clients who have reached a plateau in their weight loss journey because they aren't eating enough calories, or others who think they are eating healthfully, but taking in more calories than they need without even realizing it. Everyone is different; with different needs, habits and lifestyles; and it's my job to decipher your unique puzzle to help you meet your goals. My strategy with everyone varies, depending specifically on his or her needs. After I assess your eating habits and routine, I will work with you to determine what is the best course of treatment for your unique needs. Some people enjoy a structured plan, others appreciate accountability, and some like simple goals. In the end, I believe that it all starts with what you put into your body, that moderation is important, and that a healthy life is a happy life.
